As any true shoe fanatic will confess… the right pair of shoes is essential! And each pair has its exact purpose.
Many people (shamefully) think a black boot is a black boot is a black boot.
However, those with shoe savvy know each pair has a distinctive calling. Chances are the boots you wear with a skirt don’t really go with jeans. Dressy, causal, short heel, no heel, high-heeled…etc.
That might explain why I have 11 pairs of black boots. Yes, just black. If we include all the other colors, the number increases substantially. Which is a whole other story.
All of this is to help illustrate a point, regarding the sad tale of losing one shoe in Las Vegas. (Last week’s blog- keep up, there maybe a test ;o))
This lost shoe was integral to many outfits and its loss was not only sad but left a hole in my shoe wardrobe.
I tried; oh I tried to replace the shoe. I felt like a dejected prince charming left holding only one shoe.
In the quest to fill the gap, I acquired three replacements.
All fabulous in there own right. Maybe more so than the lost shoe.
But as corny as it sounds none alone could fulfill the role of the other shoe.
So I had to keep all three. Darn!
Please meet the definitely not ugly sisters who replaced Cinderella.
